My Family Ageing.

Here I have got images of my relatives at different ages through their life to see how they have aged, they have also filled out my lifestyle questionaire, I am hoping this will help me to see what if any difference are cause by (if by smoking or bad diet) and what is hereditary. I have also found images of my at different ages to see how similar I look to members of my family , if any, then I can be more percise in who to focus on more.

As you can see my mum has aged very well.

  • At 32 crows feet have just started to appear with slight under eye bags

  • Nasialabe fold has become more prominent (30)

  • Jawline is starting to be less definate ever so slightly at the side of the chin (40)

Up until 40 my dad looked very similar, with small eyes bags and very smooth plump skin.

  • Very strong definate lines around the eyes - happy smiling personalty

  • No lines around the lips

  • Very few wrinkles across the forehead more dents

  • Age spot has developed on his forehead

Aunty Kim.

55 Years Old

You only really start to notice her ageing around the eyes between 30 and 40 but it is very subtle. The key points are very similar to my mums. I can see when she went through her divorce because she looks really aged all of a sudden many wrinkles and the skin looks alot more weathered and unkept. This is down to her lifestyle change, she then moved to cornwall where she spent alot of time outside in all weathers her diet of unhealthy foods increased by the weight gain.

Grandad.

Nanny Doreen.

Grandad Bernie.

Nan.

My grandad is the most aged out of my family you can see he and my dad have very smililar smile lines however he doesn't have lots of fine wirnkles it is more that he has lost jaw defintion, his face has become more red and textured. The biggest groove are under eye bags and under his chin.

Nanny Doreen at 70 (last photo) isn't as aged as my grandad her skin is still quiet plump around the the cheeks, she had lost the jaw definition but not massivly. There are not many wrinkles or major points that differ, from what family has told me over the years she was very well kept and liked o look after herself so this to me sugrests that her lifestyle played a massive part in her ageing process.

I know that my grandad was a heavy smoker froma young age and comapred to other members of my family it is noticable because he is alot heavier aged especially around his eyes and forehead. His forehead grooves are very striaghta nd symetical following the curves of the one below which i haven't seen in any other family faces. He has only started to go grey around the mouth and sides of the head but his faces seemed to have aged alot faster than his hair.

I think for 80 my nan could look alot more heavily aged, I believe her lifestyle had a big impact she has been a smoker for a longer period of her life but she looked after her skin so much I  remeber her always having cream at the side of her bed and putting it on religiously. The major points of ageing on her face are around the nose, neck and inbetween the brows, this is very similar to my mum and I ca n see the similarities and as I have looked very close o my mum throught my life I believe I will look similar to her as I age so Nan will be my main influence fo rmy sculpting.
