Wigs.

Refronting a hard front wig with lace.

Models natural hair line

New hair line

Lace secured in place lying flat against the head between the two hairlines

The new hair line tacked to act as a guide

Pins to mark out where the wig will sit to work out where the darts need to be whipped

Darts whipped and lace pinned to the wig, removed off the block ready for attaching together

This is as far as we could go with this technique as we were using wigs supplied to us however below i have done example of bulk knotting, single knotting then sparse knotting, I have also produced an example of how these techniques used together would look if I was to contiune with the refronting method.

Sparse knotting.

Evaluation.

After building a beard foundation I found this process alot easier as I had a basic knowledge of what needed to be done what I struggled with was one of the whipping triangles it was sitting in the wrong place and it hard to not make it too big as the net wanted to fold over the hairline, but this wouldn't have been suitable for industry so I had to play round for a while to get the net to sit just right so the darts sat well and off the hairline. But once the net was positoned correctly I found the rest fell into place.

Even though I couldnt complete the technique due to using class wigs I feel I would be confident with produsing this techquine if I needed to. I have however done sample patches to show single, sparse and bulk knotting and how I would put these together to produce a fading hairline.
