Bald Cap Material Comparison.
Here I am created table to directly compare the materials and colouring products I explores in a previous unit which I am using to inform my choices for my design this unit as I feel I could explore a different area rather than re-explore one I have already experimented with.
Material Comparison.
From the table above I have decided I am going to make a cap plastic bald cap as for film this is the most suitable for my context and gives me the best outcome.
Colouring product comparison.
From this experimentation and analysis I have decided to use a combination of grease/cream products then finish it off with either airbrushing or skin illustrator for a natural light finish.
Here is an example of how my chosen cap plastic bleeds into the skin, as yo can see the edges work really well at becoming smooth and seamless which is ideal for film. Below I have trialed appling the eye prosthetics over the top to see how bleeding the edges affect the cap plastic.
This worked better than i was expecting it to. The edges have bleed away well without cause the cap plastic to deform or change in any way. There is a crinkle at the top however this is from the glue sticking the edge over on itself which make it unblendable. But over all this worked and doesn't cause any issues.
