Hair sculpting techniques.

Image 10.0 - Simple flower in hair

Image 10.1 - Rose sculpted in hair

The flower is started at 7:00.

This technique requires making a plait and pull one side bigger which will form the petals then the braid is coiled on its self then attatched to the head which forms the flower.

I really like the simplicity of this method it is very quick to produce, I hope to form a headband of flowers so this may be a very quick way to produce the outcome I am after however I want to try and creare lilly's.

This is a more complicated and time consuming technique compared to the previous one however it produces a much more 3D and and texturised piece which I really like.

The only consern with regards to my design is that alot of hair is required for one so to make a crown of them I would need extremely long hair and thick hair!

Image 10.2 - Wave textured sculpting

I really like the wavy texture that has been created here this could be used along side the crab hair sculpture for sebastian to add more textures and intrest into my design.

This also didn't use alot of wet product such as gel so it would be lighter to wear and quicker to do that fingerwaving.

Image 10.3 - Textured hair style

I really liked how the textures complimented each other and how they sat giving the image of waves and movement through the hair. This twist and waving technique is something that I could use in the sebastian design to show contrasting textures and a neat structure.

This is a collection from Japanese art director Nagi Noda.

I really like how the animals are very easily recognisable and the combination of textures work really well at helping to bring the animlas to life, this is something I need to consider when creating my crab.  I also love how the positioning has been tailerd around how the animal would stand/sit to give a more realistic feel.
