Template and Prepping Analysis.
This was a very easy process to complete but it was time consuming measuring the length with the cotton as it was very thin making it difficult to pin into place, but overall this is a very easy part of the process to understand and complete.
Weaving Process Analysis.
This was a very long process overall it took 14 hours to weave. This is shorter than i expected it to take but it was a very long time to be sat weaving. The further I got the harder it became harder to keep tight enough to tighten the hairs, which slowed down the process. However overall I am very happy with the outcome as this is my first long length weaving, 162cm in total. I found I was most effective when i did an hour of weaving then 20 mins of other work/break as it allowed me to focus better therefore working faster.
Flat Weft.
I love the look of this weft as it is very clean and smooth and it is the more time consuming part of the piece. The only part I found hard ws the wire started to twist, as pointed to.
Wig Weft.
This is alot faster weft to make however I don't think that it is as nice looking because of the gaps, because of this I found it was harder to keep the wefted section a conistant thickness.
Sewing Process Anaysis.
This was harder than i thought, the wire part kept twisting when I had sewn one part then moved onto the next so it was a more fiddly job that what I had expected. As you can see it also picked up random pieces of hair which made them become fly aways, I did find that most of them were pulled back to where they were supposed to sit when I brushed through it. Over all I am really pleased with the outcome, however next time I am aware of the time frame so can plan my time better not leaving it to the week before shooting.
