Wig Construction Work.

Foundation Net Analysis.

This initially was easy to get my head round until the darts didn't naturally fall as they had when making a beard so working with the tutu net for conform it to the shape of the head proved challenging in some circumstances.

The whipping was a very fast process as I have done this multiple times now I have improved and become a lot more efficient in both technique and timing.

As you can see with the hemming this is an area I need to improve on. It is uneven in thickness and I also found it hard to hem without it unraveling so had to use clips to hold it in place which made this part quiet time consuming. This is something I could easily practice and improve on.

Caul Net Analysis.

This was a lot easier for the material to form natural darts to fit the head nicely, as you can see in the top right image they are very similar in size and angle which makes it appear nicer for the client however it is not necessary it does make it feel more professionally done when completed.

The double seam connecting the caul net to the foundation net is a consistently evenly spaced around the head however they are a few part where I accidently caught the net with my scissors and this has left a slight dip along this edge. However this is easily resolved next time.

The fit of these two parts together is very smooth there are no parts gapping away from the block, nor too loose making the net move around more than it should. Overall I am very pleased with the fit so far.

Lace Front Analysis.

I found this the hardest piece to get right. Keeping it flat against and past the hairline whilst attaching it too the block too a while and this tutu net material had a lot of movement in it which meant it was quiet hard to get in the right place but once I had the darts formed naturally and it sat well against the head.

The double seam attaching it to the foundation net was not consistenlty even and neat as the caul net I think I had the block at a angle which is why it is wider one side to the other however this is easily improved on.

Final Result.

I am really pleased with my final product it was alot neater and better fitting than what I thought I would be able to produce first time. There are irreguarities that I was to improve on next time but over all I think I have produced a good wig construction.
